About Us

Our Mission

For children with autism and their caregivers, Autism Wings is a unique experience that delivers interactive learning right to their home—in the form of a customized recreational vehicle (RV). Autism Wings provides relief for caregivers while giving those with autism the opportunity to learn independently under the supervision of a trained staff member.

Autism Wings Inc., is a 501(c)(3) charity organization dedicated to uplifting the needs of individuals with autism as well as their families and caregivers. We strive to provide our clients with the most comfortable, convenient, and rewarding experience by bringing a mobile interactive space to their homes.

Meet Founder/CEO Angela Walden

CEO Angela Walden founded Autism Wings in 2019. Her son, Regent, has autism. She understands the experience of living with and caring for someone with autism. Her parenting insights coupled with her education and work experience helped her create Autism Wings. For the last ten years, Ms. Walden has been pondering various business ideas that would make the lives of children on the autism spectrum, and their caregivers, a little easier, and she is excited to finally see a concept become a reality. Angela founded Autism Wings Inc, in the winter of 2019, and she is eager to offer her services through a unique, mobile business model that aims to provide for clients in the most convenient manner possible. It is Angela’s belief that while it is important to provide support for the child on the spectrum, it is equally as important to, whenever possible, relieve their caregivers of some of the exhaustion that frequently comes along with caring for a child with autism. Angela has been working in the field of social services and education since graduating from college with a BA in psychology. Her son Regent was born in 2004 and at age three, she quickly came to realize that he was on the autism spectrum and, although Angela has always been an advocate for children, this discovery made her even more dedicated to ensuring the well-being of all children, specifically those with special needs. In addition to Regent, Angela has three children: Emerald, Justice, and Essence, all of whom are college graduates and will be active in the development and service delivery of Autism Wings. Angela is currently employed by a local school district working primarily with students who receive special education services, serves on a variety of committees with her son’s school district, is an active member of Bethlehem Baptist church, and currently resides in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
